Women in Trades aims to increase the participation and success of women in construction and trades where they are traditionally under-represented.
The conference supports this by providing a forum for women interested in a trades career to:
Promote it as a viable career option.
Introduce women to potential employers, industry training providers, tertiary institutes and relevant industry organisations.
Provide tangible next steps for pursuing training and a career in a trade.
Who should attend?
Secondary School students (choosing both high school and tertiary study paths).
Women considering a career change or training after a work break.
Trades academies, tertiary trades providers, Industry Training Organisations (ITOs).
Industry employers and industry groups.
Women currently in apprenticeships, trades and the wider construction industry.
